"People Who Have Changed the World "
Essay & Mini-Documentary

For the past few weeks, students have been learning about the fearless, brave individuals who have made a difference in the world of slavery, women's suffrage, child labor, and segregation.  Students each developed an in depth research essay and used pieces of their work to help their group build the narrative for the documentary script.  The groups learned how to use iMovie on our classroom iPads and researched the social issues within their essays to find images that correspond to provide visual interest to their work.
The essays and documentaries are wonderful examples of the
great learning going on here at Fall Brook!
Please enjoy!!

School Committee Canceled!!!

Dear Families of Room 28 Students,

Due to the inclement weather continuing into the evening, the School Committee meeting for tonight has been cancelled.  Instead of the students presenting live in front of the committee, we will be creatively filming and editing the presentation.  The students will help create the presentation by using iPads and the app, iMovie, which we are learning to use right now to produce our “People Who Have Changed the World” documentaries.  As soon as we complete the video, we will post it on here for you to enjoy!

Have a nice night…no homework tonight too!

Kylie Plamondon
The recipient of this honor is chosen by their teacher and peers.  A Student of the Month is a student who completes all of their school and homework with their personal best effort, follows the class and school code of conduct at all times, has no unexcused absences/ tardiness, displays random acts of kindness, and goes above and beyond.  While many students meet this criteria, this month we recognize Kylie Plamondon for her contributions to Room 28.
