3.9 x 4.7

estimate first: 4 x 5 = 20

second, use standard algorithm to solve
3.9 x 4.7 = 1833

third, place decimal between the 8 and the 3...

because your answer is about 20
AND
there are two digits in decimal place values, so your answer must have two decimal place values as well!

CONFERENCES:  Conferences are being scheduled this week.  Please be on the lookout for your time.  If you need an alternate time, please contact me (try by email, please).  If you never received a form, email as well!

A MONSTER THANK YOU!

On Monday / Halloween, lifelong Leominster resident and all-things-spooky enthusiast, Mr.  Ronny LeBlanc, came in and shared legends and stories of aliens and Bigfoot that have been talked about throughout the community of Leominster for years.  Mr. LeBlanc recently published the book Monsterland, which we have been reading some excerpts from in class, and he also read a section to the class.  Mr. LeBlanc's presentation was fascinating and the kids- and Mr. M-H- had lots of questions!

Thank you Mr. LeBlanc for an AWESOME presentation!!!
Be a NATURALIST...

SNEAKERS ON THURSDAYS!

For the duration of the outdoor gym days, students must bring a change of sneakers in a bag with them to school.  Students will change into their shoes at the beginning of gym and will change out of them at the end of gym.  Where there are some lovely geese hanging out in our field where students are running, keeping our school clean and sanitary is very important!
