Parent Teacher Conferences

All scheduled meeting times have been sent home.  If you have not received a meeting time, please contact ME, not the school office.  I do not have any more openings available for Monday evening. Since the night is entirely booked, meetings will be VERY timely to ensure all families get their deserved, scheduled time.

Please Note:


  • Please be punctual.  If you are late, this time will be taken from the 15 minutes we are assigned.
  • Children (student or siblings) are NOT  allowed in room during conferences.

Field Trip Friday!
Our class has just concluded an enormously successful canned food drive for Ginny’s Helping Hands and Food Pantry.  As part of this ongoing community service project, on Friday, November 20th, our class will be taking a field trip to Ginny’s Food Pantry to deliver donations and make Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. 

We will be leaving Fall Brook School around 9:30 and returning around 2:30.  Ginny’s is located near downtown Leominster on Mechanic Street.  Heather Mazzafero, School Committee member and manager of Ginny’s, will be providing lunch.  Students may also bring snacks/drinks (please no glass!).

Permission Slips are due by WEDNESDAY to  participate

What We Are Learning This Week...

Math

  • Students will learn how to solve problems involving the order of operations
  • Reviewing multiplying, multiplying decimals, and decimal subtraction and addition


ELA

  • Read, understand, and compare fairy tales from around the world
  • Discuss how setting and point of view impacts a plot
  • Compare and contrast characters, settings, and events in a story and between stories
  • Write compare and contrast essays on characters
  • Edit and revise run-on sentences and fragments
  • Continue review of complex and compound sentences
  • No Spelling homework this week
  • Students will be bringing home fairy tales told from multiple perspectives as ELA homework
